VINEYARD TERRAIN
Wines of the Rhone Valley
The vines are planted in stony clay and limestone soil at the foot of the Mont Ventoux, and enjoy optimal exposure to the sun.
The Venaissin County is situated at the confluence of the two major alpine rivers. The Rhône on one side, and the Durance on the other provide vast underground water reserves.
These reserves allow the vines to survive the summer heat using their long taproots.
Grape varieties planted
red wines : Grenache - Syrah - Carignan - Mourvèdre.
rosés : Cinsault - Carignan - Syrah - Grenache.
white wines : Grenache blanche - Roussane - Clairette.
